My Ramadhan Reflections

Another month of glancing at the clock every 5 minutes waiting 4 ifta to come...

Another month of being hungry at times of the day you are not usually hungry...even if you typically dont eat anything at that time of time day anyway...

Another month of being extra nice to people who you forgot even existed during the past 11 months...

Another month of pretending to do any work, coz you know in reality, Ramadhan is a month long Holiday...

Another month of awkward visits to relatives you dont even like...

And Another month to be thankful and reflective that you are alive and that you have your health and your family and friends...and despite how bad your situation is (even without the gthings I just mentioned), there will always be someone else worse off than you.

What makes Ramadhan 2006 so special?

Is it that because this year is the 5th anniversary that some ambassadors from the Arab world apparently staged the most destructive attack on America in modern history...ever?

No.

Is it that the ruler of the Christian World practically declared war on the Muslim World by saying some really dumb and unappropriate things?

No.

Is it because the Arab and Muslim world is more unstable than ever?

No.

It is because
Lost Season 3 is too begin this Ramadhan and I am tearing my hair out wating for it to begin after watching a summer of its re-runs. Curse You America for making us have to wait this long for your only good export ...and for getting me hooked on such an excellent piece of quality entertainment.

Ramadhan Kareeem!
